LG Declares the First Android Wear Smartwatch with LTE
LG is announcing a new brand version of the Watch Urbane, the chunky Android Wear device it released this spring. The new version puts an ever slightly larger screen inside of a slightly smaller body. Named LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, the newcomer is the first Android Wear device with 4G LTE support.LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition packs a brand new 1.38” totally circular P-OLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. The resolution results in the extremely impressive pixel density of 348 ppi.
The 2nd Edition LG Watch Urbane has an IP67-certified stainless steel body that measures 44.5mm wide and 14.2mm thick. A 570mAh hexagonal battery by LG Chem powers the Smartwatch.LG says it’s working with carriers to make to numbers as seamless as probable. LG is revolving it up to eleven with a watch that’s 14mm thick. A lot of that size is coming from the battery compartment, as well as the removable cap under the watch case so you can slip in a SIM. The result is just one, huge, giant Smartwatch.
The watch occasion is silver and four separate bands are available on black, white, coral (greenish-blue), and brown leather. The first three colors actually match the same color palette as the new LG V10 smartphone.
Another neat tinyaddition is creating the three hardware buttons on the side–which quick launch LG Health, Home screen, or calls your favorite contact–match at all band you buy, like the digital crown on the Apple Watch.
