Google launches its Pixel smartphone and VR headset
Google hosted an event in San Francisco on Tuesday to launch a series of products, including two new phones, a VR headset and the Chromecast Ultra.
The announcement was the introduction of Pixel, the first Google phone inside and out. The phone is ready to face the iPhone with its built-in AI assistant, 4K video and many more exciting features like 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, 12MP rear camera. The device comes in 3 colors namely quite black, very silver and really blue.
Along with Pixel Google unveiled Chromecast Ultra, which has sold 30 million units to date, supports 4K streaming. Chromecast Ultra will be available for $69 this fall.
Company also demonstrated its new virtual reality headset for mobile devices, Daydream View. With which the user has a control on what’s happening on screen, when the phone is in somebody else’s hands.
The Pixel phones are the first Daydream-ready devices.
