Alternatives for Photoshop
The professional photo editing software, Adobe Photoshop, is indeed very costly. Even though the price that it has is decent as compared to the quality that the software gives, most of the users cannot afford it. So what is the solution on this? Do we have any alternative for Adobe Photoshop? Can this alternative provide the same service as the Adobe Photoshop? Well, the answer to all the above questions is YES!!! Below are some alternative to the Adobe Photoshop.
GIMP (Free on Windows, Mac, Linux)
GIMP, being a free open source project, has its own set of disadvantages. But, on the other hand, without a doubt, GIMP is a powerful program and can be a great alternative to the costly Adobe Photoshop. And on top of this, GIMP is absolutely free.
The software is so powerful that there are lot of things that is possible on GIMP but it is not possible to do on Adobe Photoshop. For those users who are concerned with the price factor, GIMP proves to be the best option.
Affinity Photo ($50 on Windows and Mac)
In comparison with GIMP, Affinity Photo is lot better. Since we are paying a certain amount, which is far less than Adobe Photoshop, life gets easier while using Affinity as compared to GIMP.
Users need to pay only an amount of $49.99. The software, like GIMP, is capable of doing everything that can be done in Adobe Photoshop. But, seeing the other side of the coin, Affinity cannot provide that level of polishness that Adobe Photoshop gives.
Pixelmator ($30 on Mac)
Pixelmator is similar to Affinity. But the only drawback that it has is it is available for macOS only. The software is affordable than Affinity and is priced for $29.99. But like Affinity, it is not able to give the same effect as Adobe Photoshop.
In short, you may find better alternative for Adobe Photoshop but you won’t find the one that can replace it.
