Mitsubishi’s new MPV is all set for reveal at Indonesia Auto Show
There is an auto show scheduled in Indonesia in the coming month and on that platform Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will unveil its next-generation MPV. The auto show will be hosted in Jakarta starting from August 10, 2017 to August 20, 2017.
The name of the vehicle will be announced at the show. The all new future-generation MPV is made at the Mitsubishi’s new Indonesian factory located in Bekasi Prefecture, at West Java Province. The company projects to roll out the MPV in the Indonesian market in this year.
As per the company, the new MPV will be seven-seater and made by combining the best of MPV and SUV in the world. The vehicle itself talks about the bold design, convenience, roominess, character, style, and ruggedness. Focusing on the demand for small MPV owners with this vehicle, occupant will get a comforting experience while on the travel with huge room for cargo and luggage, that too at a competitive cost.
Coming on to the dimensions of the MPV, it is 4475 mm in length, 1700 mm in height, and 1750 mm in width, which provides top class roominess. Especially the third-row seats have great leg room along with roomy luggage compartment. The MPV is fitted with three tier lighting and LED position lights positioned in the engine hood side trim, which not only enhances the elegancy but also makes the vehicle conspicuous. The assemblies of the headlights are fitted low and fog lamps go very low in the brush guard.
The MPV is equipped with smart Keyless Operation System that enables the vehicle to unlock and ignite the engine through KOS key. The KOS key also has a feature to find the vehicle in the large car parking space with a single button touch. The car also has a function, which keeps the headlight on for 30 Seconds to guide the commuters at night while exiting the car.
Focusing on the power plant of the vehicle, the yet-to-be-named MPV is powered by 1.5-Liter 16-valve petrol engine integrated with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control for low fuel consumption and high power output. The engine is mated with either automatic or manual transmission.
The Mitsubishis’s new MPV is expected to create a great chaos post launch. It might be a tough competitor for the existing MVPs such Toyota Innova Crysta.
